Players from the club’s Junior Development Academy took part in a minicamp over the weekend in which they worked alongside a host of NRLW stars.
16 players from within the club’s pathways system came in on Friday evening for a video session with NRLW Head Coach Nathan Cross before getting together for a group dinner and staying the night at Sage Hotel Wollongong.
On Saturday morning, the group were introduced to the club’s NRLW squad and completed a field session.
The group consisted of standout players from the club’s Tarsha Gale Cup and Lisa Fiaola Cup squads from this past season.

The players involved included Halle Barrett, Ella Churchill, Carolina Cook, Holly Czornobej, Ella Greatz, Michala Hardy, Tahanni Kaufusi, Kiara Kostovski, Charli Pitstock, Monique Marshall, Charlotte Nicolson, Georgia Porter, Ruby Seitula, Skye Spencer, Armani Tanioria and Billie Va’a.
Coaches from the St George and Illawarra junior representative systems were also on hand including Sam Saadat, Renee Targett, Pricilla Younes and Brad Reh.
“It’s really important to get these girls in and around our top squad because they take so much out of it,” Female Football Manager Sammy Bremner said.
“These girls are the elite players within our pathways system and it’s our duty to ensure that that they develop as players and young women in the best possible way. They’re learning what it takes to be an NRLW player and some of them certainly will reach that level over the coming years. As a club, our pathways system is always a major focus and a key pillar of who we are, so these sorts of initiatives are really key for us.”
