The Dragons secured a key win on home turf in Round 14 of the Jersey Flegg season storming past the Kaiviti Silktails 46-10 at Collegians on Saturday afternoon.
Shane Millard’s men were able to avenge their shock, one-point loss to the Fijian-based outfit in Round 3 behind another masterful Kade Reed performance with the teenage half scoring a try and assisting on four others in the win.

In their opening set of the game, the Dragons fired a warning shot launching an attacking raid off their own try-line with Lyric Craft-Te Moananui finding space down the left flank and looking to link with a supporting Tyler Peckham-Harris on his inside only for the pass to go to ground.
The hosts managed to nab the first try of the afternoon through Cyrus Stanley-Traill who used his blend of power and footwork to make his way to the stripe back against the grain off the hip of Reed.
Reed converted the try to make it a six-point game 10 minutes into proceedings.
Silktails winger Seremaia Ramasima left the field for the visitors soon after for a HIA – which he ultimately passed – prompting a temporary re-shuffle in the backline.
The Dragons sent several more shots at the Silktails’ fractured right edge with mixed results before eventually notching their second four-pointer of the contest.
Off the back of a damaging Campbell Rubie carry, a sweeping Jarrah Treweek created an overlap and moved the ball on to Craft-Te Moananui to score in the corner.
A penalty on the stroke of half-time gave the Silktails an opportunity to get on the board with Melikiseteki Nacaginimasei knocking over a penalty goal to bring it back to 16-2.
The Dragons snagged the first points of the second forty through Viliami Amone who took an inside ball from Reed, absorbed a hit, and spun his way over to score.
The hosts’ blistering attacking form persisted soon after with some subtle David Afu footwork helping send Craft-Te Moananui into space down the left touchline off an attacking scrum win.
The skilful winged fashioned a deft kick back on the inside which sat up beautifully for a chasing Isaiah Fagalilo who reeled it in to dive over and grow the lead beyond four converted tries.
A yardage penalty saw the Dragons march straight back onto the attack with Toby Rumble slithering his way to the line off a textbook, right-side shift for his eighth try of the season.
Drew Langdon found a try for the Dragons an hour in muscling his way over after captain Ryan Hutchinson earnt a quick play-the-ball and Fagalilo showed some swift hands out of dummy-half to put the back rower over.
Reed’s IQ was on display again shortly after with the Dragons No.7 plucking a Silktails pass out of the air whilst defending his own try-line and racing more than 90 metres untouched to dive over under the sticks.

The visitors were able to find their first points of the afternoon through Ratu Kikau who went aerial to snatch a pinpoint Nacaginimasei kick out of the air and get the ball to the grass.
They were able to go back-to-back moments later in similar fashion with Kikau reeling in another cross-field Nacaginimasei kick and winning the race to the in-goal to nab his second try of the contest.
The final say of the afternoon belonged to the Dragons however with Blake Metcalfe sweeping his way into space down the right-hand corridor just shy of the full-time hooter to cross and seal the two competition points for Millard’s men.
