The Dragons are thrilled to confirm that the club will be travelling stateside for the NRL’s 2026 season opener at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
The club will be facing off against rivals the Bulldogs in what shapes as a Round 1 blockbuster.
It will mark the NRL’s third foray into Las Vegas after successful trips over in 2024 and 2025.
“This is an exciting opportunity for the Dragons to kick-start our 2026 season in front of a global audience,” said Head Coach Shane Flanagan.
“The players, staff and coaches have seen what an incredible event the previous two editions have been and I know everybody within the club is looking forward to this opportunity.
“Playing at a world-class facility will be the icing on the cake and this is something that all our players, staff and fans will remember as a once-in-a-lifetime event.”
Dragons Chairman Andrew Lancaster said the time was right for the Dragons to feature in the NRL’s highly-anticipated Las Vegas season-opener.
“If you’re looking for a huge match-up to sell the game globally it doesn’t get much bigger than a clash between traditional rivals in the Dragons and Bulldogs,” Lancaster said.
“We have a passionate and engaged fanbase who we know will be keen to support our club in the US and with today’s announcement, Dragons fans are one step closer to an unforgettable Las Vegas 2026 experience.
“We look forward to bringing our members and fans further details of the opportunities to support their club stateside in the coming weeks.”
While the Dragons will be listed as the away team for the Feb 28 season-opener, the club can also confirm it has come to an agreement with the Bulldogs to share two games in 2026. Both the Round 1 Las Vegas match and a return bout at a neutral Sydney venue to take place later in the season will be co-hosted by the two clubs.
Full season ticketed Red V members will have access to the second match, with details to be provided when available.
