The Dragons are pleased to announce the signing of veteran No.9 Nita Maynard on a two-year deal.
Maynard’s addition rounds out the Top 24 squad for the upcoming 2025 NRLW season.
A crafty dummy-half, Maynard made her NRLW debut for the Roosters in the premiership’s inaugural season back in 2018.
She comes to the club having made 37 NRLW appearances whilst also proving a key contributor for the Kiwi Ferns and Māori All-Stars.
Maynard, 32, has spent the past two seasons with Newcastle having come off the bench for them in their victorious 2023 Grand Final.
“We’re really pleased to be bringing Nita to our club,” Head Coach Nathan Cross said.
“She’s an accomplished footballer who has played in plenty of big games over a number of years. Her experience will add a lot to our side; she’s a leader who I’m confident our younger players will benefit from playing and training alongside. She’s a crafty player who has a lot to offer and we’re excited to welcome her to the Dragons.”
