Chemist Warehouse squad health update – Round 20

This week’s Chemist Warehouse squad health update has some tough news for Dragons fans, with a few stars facing some time on the sidelines.

Squad Health Update

Jayden Sullivan (Rd 26-season)

Unfortunately Sullivan injured his right hamstring against the Raiders on Friday night. Scans have revealed a moderate to high-grade strain with Sullivan facing a recovery time of at least six weeks.

Jaydn Su’A (Season)

Su’A was withdrawn from the Raiders game after experiencing increasing episodes of instability in his right shoulder following a subluxation earlier in the year. After specialist review, it has been determined the best course of action is to proceed to surgically stabilising the joint. This means Su’A will not play again in 2023.

Paul Turner (Rd 21)

Turner was taken from the field in his club debut last weekend after a heavy collision to the back causing a hip pointer injury. Fortunately he has been cleared of serious internal injury and will return to light drills this week.

Ben Murdoch-Masila (Rd 22-23)

Murdoch-Masila picked up a grade two medial ligament sprain to his left knee against the Raiders. He is expected to return in 3-4 weeks.

Jacob Liddle (Rd 21)

Jacob Liddle sustained a concussion against the Raiders and is currently progressing through return-to-play protocols.

Tyrell Sloan (Rd 21)

Sloan was withdrawn from the Raiders game after scans picked up a small strain in his calf sustained in round 18. He will return to training later in the week and be available to face Wests Tigers in round 21.

Viliami Fifita (Rd 23-24)

Fifita has missed the past three matches due to a meniscus injury in the knee that required a small operation to be cleaned up. He is expected to return this season.
