There were impressive wins for the Dragons Knock On Effect Cup and Jersey Flegg sides in round 13 of the NSWRL competitions.

Knock On Effect Cup

The KOE Cup Dragons racked up a score at Sid Parrish Park on Sunday afternoon for their third straight win, and second consecutive 40-plus total. That was despite being shell-shocked early as the Magpies ran in the first three tries of the afternoon inside the opening 15 minutes.

The Red V ran in six unanswered tries between the 26th and 61st minutes with Max Feagai starting the run before Treigh Stewart (twice), Paul Turner, Alex Lobb, Zach Herring and Haele Finau joined him on the scoresheet.

Jersey Flegg Cup

Earlier in the day at the same venue the Flegg boys bounced back from last week's loss to the Roosters in a see-sawing clash. The Red V scored the opening two tries before conceding tries then scoring another three of their own. With the game seemingly in the bag, the Red V suffered a late scare through two more tries to Wests Tigers but held on for the win.

NRL train-and-triallists Sav Tamale and Jackson Shereb both scored, with Campbell Watchirs bagging a double and Benjamin Rumble and Kyan Hjaltason also crossing.
