Dragons pathways: Round 9 wrap

A full wrap of all the Dragons lower grades results from round nine of the Junior Reps season and round five of the Knock on Effect and Jersey Flegg Cups.

Knock on Effect Cup

With their first win of the season within touching distance, the Dragons instead suffered heartbreak as their four-point lead vanished in the final seconds of the match via an Eels try in the far right corner. The try went unconverted to leave Bronx Goodwin's team with a hard-fought draw against the in-form Eels which included tries to Connor Muhleisen, Jaiyden Hunt, Alex Lobb and Sione Finau.

Jersey Flegg Cup

The Dragons went down in a six-tries-to-four loss to the Eels, although some struggles off the tee with no tries converted made the scoreline look worse than it might have. Max Pritchard scored a double while Tom Phillips and Ben Johnson also crossed.

The Dragons scored the final two tries of the match to stage a mini-comeback against the Rabbitohs but couldn't overcome the deficit as they slipped to a 32-24 loss.
