Dragons pathways: Round 8 wrap

A full wrap of results for the Dragons pathways sides in round eight of the NSWRL Junior Reps competitions and round four of the Knock On Effect Cup and Jersey Flegg competitions.

Knock On Effect Cup

Two tries early in the second half had the KoE Cup lads in the lead and sniffing their first win of the season but a strong finish by Newtown ended those hopes with three further tries. 

Jersey Flegg Cup

The Dragons' round four Jersey Flegg clash against the Sharks has been postponed to May 6. 

UNE SG Ball Cup

Dragons

A hat-trick to winger Joven Gyemore powered the Dragons to a 26-20 win over the Sharks.

Steelers

The Steelers SG Ball side also scored 26 points, surging to a five-tries-to-two win over the Raiders.

Harvey Norman Women's Premiership

Dragons

It was a tough outing for the Dragons at Cronulla, going down 46-12.

Steelers

The Steelers had a solid 22-12 win over Mounties with Ana Raduva, Taliah Fuimaono, Emma Tonegato and Keeley Davis nabbing four-pointers. 

UNE Harold Matthews Cup

Dragons

After falling behind 14-0, the Dragons staged a comeback of sorts scoring the next two tries but couldn't find the third four-pointer they needed.

Steelers

A Hayden Buchanan hat-trick was the highlight of the Steelers' big 30-12 win over the Raiders.

Dragons

The Dragons had the bye in round eight. 

Steelers

The Steelers piled on the points at Ron Costello Oval with Mia-Rose Walsh scoring a hat-trick and doubles to Ella Koster and Sulieti Ahio.
