Game day guide: Round 2 v Titans

The St George Illawarra Dragons will face the Gold Coast Titans at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium on Sunday, March 12. This is your Round 2 game guide.

The wait is over

It’s been over six months since the Dragons last took the field for an NRL Telstra Premiership match but it’s finally time to sit back and enjoy some Red V action.

The wait was made worse with Dragons fans having to endure a Round 1 bye on top of waiting for the last match of Round 2. Better late than never though, the Red V is finally back in action this Sunday!

Local junior to make debut

From the Thirroul Butchers to the St George Illawarra Dragons, Toby Couchman has been named to make his NRL debut this Sunday.

Toby Couchman on making his NRL debut

Capable of playing on the edge or in the middle, the 19-year-old workhorse will be looking to impress in his first outing in the Red V. Couchman replaced Jack de Belin who requires another week to overcome a minor calf strain, while Jack Bird has overcome a knee injury to start at lock.

New recruits Ben Murdoch-Masila, Zane Musgrove and Jacob Liddle will all make their club debuts against the Titans, with Liddle to provide impact off the bench and Moses Mbye to start at hooker.

Half-century for Titans rake

The Titans have named an unchanged team to the one that beat Wests Tigers last week.

Five-eighth Kieran Foran has been named to play despite suffering swelling to his knee with Toby Sexton named among the reserves should Foran fail to recover.

Hooker Sam Verrills is set to play his 50th NRL game on Sunday.

Members in the spotlight

Have your photo taken by our official game day photographer between 5-5.30 pm and you could be featured on our website and social media channels!

Keep your eyes peeled on the field during half time to catch the member race as it lights up Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.

What’s happening at the ground?

Plus, grab your seat early and practice your catching skills as you could score one of two Dragons t-shirts this weekend.
