St George Illawarra are proud to announce Nicholas Carter as the Red V member of the match for Round 20.
As a thank you for his dedication, Nicholas was showcased during our Round 20 home game at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, Kogarah on Sunday, July 31 and presented with a signed 2022 Dragons jersey.
Why was he selected as the Red V member of the match?
Nicholas is as diehard a supporter as they come with 16 consecutive years of membership and living and breathing the Dragons at every moment. Through all the highs and lows, Nicholas travels from the Hills district to as many games as he can interstate as well as home venues whether it’s by himself or his Dragons family.
He can always be relied upon to show his support at a match, rain, hail, or shine, and there wouldn’t be a better experience from him than another Dragons premiership. In fact, he is just waiting for that moment to finish off his own Dragons tattoo! His wardrobe has a never-ending collection of club merchandise and is always on show whether Nicholas is at a match, a member event or participating in member initiatives.
Who is Nick’s favourite Dragons player (past or present) and why?
Ben Hornby - he was always his hero growing up and to see him lead the team to the Grand Final win in 2010 was the icing on the cake. He has the frame of him holding up the trophy hanging in his room, along with many others.
