Member of the match: Round 19 v Sea Eagles

St George Illawarra are proud to announce Rebecca Rafin as the Red V member of the match for Round 19!

As a thank you for her dedication, Rebecca was showcased during our Round 19 home game at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, Kogarah on Friday, July 22 and presented with a signed 2022 Dragons jersey.

Why was she selected as the Red V member of the match?

Rebecca was nominated by her 18-year-old son, Daniel, as the most dedicated supporter he knows and shows her devotion to the Red V through her support as a member. It’s not hard to miss Rebecca as she always dons the red and white, ever since she began supporting the Dragons from the age of four.

The support for the Dragons runs through the family as the tradition was passed on and Rebecca now attends matches with her own children at both Kogarah and Wollongong with her Full Season membership. Rain, hail, or shine, Rebecca will always be there and plans her own calendar around when her beloved Dragons take the field.

Who is Rebecca’s favourite Dragons player (past or present) and why?

Rebecca's favourite Dragons player of recent times was James Graham. She loved his passion and how he left everything out on the field like a true leader. She also liked his red hair – she told me it was nice to have a fellow ginger Dragon.

Do you know a dedicated Red V member who lives and breathes the Dragons? Or perhaps you think of yourself as the biggest Dragons fan in town?
