St George Illawarra have announced the re-signing of front-rower Michael Molo.
Molo will be promoted from his current training contract to the Dragons' Top 30 in 2023 and will remain at the club until at least the end of the 2024 NRL Telstra Premiership season.
Molo joined the Red V alongside brother Francis ahead of the current season following a stellar campaign with the Hostplus Cup premiership-winning Norths Devils.
Molo made his first grade debut in Round 11 and has played five NRL games to date.
"A couple of years ago I was working a 9-5 job and would watch the NRL every weekend and I would always tell my mates it was something that I still wanted to achieve so I'm really proud of how far I've come," Molo said.
"I'm very thankful for the opportunity and grateful that the Dragons were happy to have me here for the pre-season. My older brother Francis has been in my corner since the start too and taught me what it takes to be a first grade player.
"I've worked hard to get to where I am, and I won't look back now."
Dragons general manager of football Ben Haran said Molo was a prime example of a player making the most of an opportunity when they present.
"Michael has shown his dedication and commitment since arriving at the start of this pre-season and will now take the next step in his career," Haran said.
"Michael has demonstrated the value he will add to our squad after cutting his teeth in first grade and with further experience will continue to improve."
Molo's re-signing follows the likes of the Blake Lawrie, Jack Bird, Jayden Sullivan, Tyrell Sloan, Jaiyden Hunt and Max and Mat Feagai to re-sign with the Dragons in recent months.
