St George Illawarra are proud to announce Barbara Anderson as the Red V member of the match for Round 6!
As a thank you for her dedication, Barbara was showcased during our Round 6 home game at WIN Stadium, Wollongong on Sunday, April 17 and presented with a signed 2022 Dragons jersey.
Why was she selected as the Red V member of the match?
At eighty-one years young, Barbara has been a Dragons supporter for seventy-two years. Barbara has attended matches since she was a child and has been a proud Red V member for fifteen consecutive seasons.
Barbara makes the trip down the Princes Motorway with her Wollongong Pass membership and enjoys home games at the picturesque WIN Stadium from her seat in the western grandstand.
With one red eye and one white eye, Barbara sticks with the Dragons through the ups and the downs and will always defend her team.
Who is Barbara’s favourite Dragons player (past or present) and why?
Barbara’s favourite player is Mikaele Ravalawa. She thinks he’s exciting to watch and loves how he gives his all every game. She was very chuffed when she met him out one night and he took the time to talk to her and agreed to a photo.
