This week in St George Illawarra history (May 19-25)

Take a trip down memory lane with the St George Illawarra Dragons each week as we re-visit the highs and lows, triumphs and tribulations of the Red V.

1991

Martin Offiah celebrates his first game in the red and white of the St George Dragons with a try in his team's 30-6 thumping of South Sydney.

1995

Illawarra fullback David Riolo joins the Super League exodus when he signs a five-year deal with the ARL. He would only play 10 games for the Steelers in 1996 before departing for the Parramatta Eels in 1997.

2003

Nathan Blacklock signs with St George Illawarra for the remainder of the season after a hiatus in rugby union, and expresses his regret at walking out on the club 12 months earlier.

2006

St George Illawarra centre Mark Gasnier re-signs for the Dragons in a five-year, $4 million deal. The new contract will reportedly make him the second highest paid player in the game, behind Andrew Johns.

2015

St George Illawarra prop Leeson Ah Mau agrees to extend his deal with the club until the end of 2018. The announcement follows news that Englishman Mike Cooper would remain at the club for another two seasons.
