The St George Illawarra Dragons and University of Wollongong (UOW) joined forces to develop the Energise program for Year 11 students in 2016. The Energise program is focused on inspiring students to set long-term education and career goals, discover pathways to achieve them, develop strong study skills, build resilience, overcome challenges and become confident leaders.

Now in its 3rd year, the program has been expanded to include high schools situated around the UOW SW Campus in Liverpool.
Both the UOW and the Dragons were very impressed with program content and the very positive feedback from students and teachers that followed.
...today’s Energise program will help students incorporate concepts and initiatives into their leadership skills.

Teacher Bernadette Harvey said, "It has been a really good day. A lot of our students have been accepted into leadership programs, and today's Energise program will help students incorporate concepts and initiatives into their leadership skills. I see it being of great value in their involvement with our school's 'Junior Leaders' program."
