The St George Illawarra Dragons have announced the winner of the Win a Trip to the UK promotion. With one lucky Red V Member and a friend off to the Wigan Warriors' stomping ground DW Stadium for the ultimate UK rugby league experience.
Over 10,000 Red V Members were entered into the draw to win the major prize and Red V member Vivek Ramakrishna was announced as the lucky winner. Vivek is a 10-year member who holds a Kogarah Upgrade gold membership.
Vivek is also former Members Advisory Forum (MAF) member, a local resident and a very deserving winner.
Vivek and his guest will fly to the UK and be hosted by the Wigan Warriors' community, experiencing the passion for the 'red and white' halfway across the world.
The trip includes return economy flights from Sydney to Manchester, accommodation in Manchester for three nights, accommodation in Wigan for four nights, tickets to a Wigan match, transfers and $200 worth of Dragons merchandise.
The promotion is part of a cultural exchange which also includes the Dragons welcoming the Wigan Warriors and Hull FC to WIN Stadium, Wollongong on February 10, 2018 for the first ever Super League game to be played outside of Europe.
The following week the two UK-based clubs will take part in the first-ever double-header between Super League and NRL teams at a single venue when the Dragons take on Hull FC and South Sydney face Wigan at ANZ Stadium on February 17, 2018.
