Illawarra Junior Rugby League

Illawarra Rugby League has a long and proud history dating back to 1911 having produced a plethora of standout players.

Illawarra District Rugby League Inc. is the governing body of all local senior and junior competitions in the region whilst the Illawarra Steelers are engaged in NSWRL junior representative programs.

The Illawarra Steelers feature teams in SG Ball Cup (Under 19s boys), Tarsha Gale Cup (Under 19s girls), Harold Matthews Cup (Under 17s boys) and Lisa Fiaola Cup (Under 17s girls).

Berkeley Eagles

Established in 1955, the Berkeley Eagles are the junior club of Jack Bird.

Corrimal Cougars

Established in 1912, Corrimal was home to the likes of Ben Hornby, Craig Young & Tyson Frizell.

Collegians Collie Dogs

Established in 1933, Collegians have long proven a power in the Illawarra having produced the likes of Michael Bolt & Bronte Wilson.

Dapto Canaries

Established in 1911, the Canaries have helped produce a plethora of stars including Dean Young, Paul McGregor & Steve Morris.

Helensburgh Tigers

Established in 1911, Helensburgh was home to the likes of Damien Cook, Justin Poore & the club's inaugural NRLW captain Sam Bremner.

Northern Suburbs Bulldogs

Established in 1946, the Bulldogs continue to foster rugby league in their small catchment area thanks to a passionate band of locals.

Port Kembla Blacks

The likes of the Simon brothers, Noel Mulligan & John Cross have come through Port Kembla since their 1913 inception.

Thirroul Butchers

Established in 1913, the Butchers have produced the likes of 2010 Premiership winner Matt Prior & the Couchman twins.

Western Suburbs Red Devils

Established in 1949, Wests have seen the likes of Jason Ryles, Brett Rodwell & Kasey Reh come through their system.

Windang Pelicans

Established in 1974, the Windang Pelicans were the junior club of Kaarla Cowan.

Woonona-Bulli Bushrangers

Established in 1972, Woonona-Bulli field teams in all available junior age groups & continue punching above their weight in the finals.
