St George Illawarra Dragons centre Charly Runciman will be sidelined for at least four weeks as he overcomes a fracture to his wrist sustained while representing the Illawarra Cutters on Sunday.

The St John’s, Dubbo junior will undergo surgery this week to repair the fracture before commencing his rehabilitation program.

“Charly will undergo surgery to repair a fracture in his wrist,” said Dragons Performance Director Andrew Gray.

“We expect that he will be available to return to the field in four-to-six weeks’ time, making him available for selection between round 25 and the first week of the Finals.”

Runciman is projected to possibly return in time for the round 25 fixture against the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane on Friday, August 29.
