Head to Head

Dragons prop Russell Packer will go up against opposite number Marty Taupau in the middle in a match-up that could go a long way to deciding who comes away with the two points.

Packer, who is yet to miss a game this season, has racked up at least 101 metres in seven of the last nine games, as well as 21 tackles in all but one game this season.

On the other hand, Taupau has already spent four weeks on the sideline as a result of two separate suspensions.

When he has been playing however, Taupau has been one of the Sea Eagles best forwards, scoring three tries in his 11 games, while averaging 28.8 tackles and 11.2 hit-ups per game.

History

The Dragons have not won a fixture against their upcoming opponents at the venue since their 20-18 win in 2008.

Their overall history, however, has been great, with the Club winning 15 of their previous 23 attempts over the Sea Eagles, including six straight between 2004 and 2007.
