The Queensland Maroons were 26-16 winners over the NSW Blues in their second State of Origin fixture at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane on Wednesday.

St George Illawarra Dragons second-rower Tyson Frizell made his debut on the interchange bench for the Blues and got his name on the scoresheet in the 60th minute.

Queensland Maroons 26. Tries: Gagai (3), Oates. Goals: Thurston (3/4). Penalty Goals: Thurston (2/2).

New South Wales Blues 16. Tries: Frizell, Maloney. Goals: Reynolds (1/1), Maloney (1/1). Penalty Goals: Reynolds (2/2).
