The Kyogle Turkeys junior joined the Club from the Gold Coast Titans prior to the commencement of the 2012 season and has played 59 NRL games to date.

“Will is a hardworking player who can play in several positions and someone who pushed for a regular spot in the first-grade team towards the second-half of the season,” said McGregor.

“I expect Will to again be knocking on the door for first grade selection and I am pleased that he has chosen to remain at the Dragons.”

Furthermore, the Dragons have confirmed both Shannon Wakeman and Jake Marketo have agreed to terms on respective one-year contracts that will also see both join the Club until at least the end of 2015.

Wakeman, 25, played 25 reserve-grade games for the Illawarra Cutters in the NSW Cup this season throughout the forward-pack and was named the Club’s ‘Player of the Year’ for 2014.

The local Dapto Canaries junior additionally trained alongside the Dragons first-grade squad this season and was previously part of the Dragons National Youth Competition team between 2009-10.

“Shannon is a local junior who has been in our lower-grade systems for several seasons now and most recently was invited to train alongside the first-grade squad,” said McGregor.

Marketo, 25, made his first-grade debut for the Club in round 11 of the 2010 season against the Canberra Raiders and played 14 NRL games prior to his departure at the end of 2012.

The former Young Dragons captain (2009), who can play in the second-row or lock-forward, re-joins the Club after playing for the Redcliffe Dolphins in the Queensland Cup for the previous two seasons.

“Jake is a multi-skilled player who is looking for an opportunity to train hard and test himself once again in first-grade,” said McGregor.
