St George Illawarra hooker Mitch Rein made the most tackles of any player donning the famous Red V jersey this season.

The Kiama Knights junior player made 22 appearances for the Red and Whites this campaign and effectively completing a total of 842 tackles.

The NSW Country Origin representative made the most tackles of his season against the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in Round 3, when he made 51, and missed one, in only 65 minutes of game time.

Rein scored three tries this season, and set up another five.

He made 23 tackle breaks, four line breaks and two line break assists. The hooker also made a total of 730 metres off 20 kicks.
