Member of the match: Round 21 v Tigers

Dean Belgre has followed the Dragons for over 43 years, long before Red V memberships came into fruition. Dean has retained his Red V membership for half that amount of time, an impressive 20 years and counting.

As a youngster, Dean was influenced by his grandfather to follow the Dragons and was fortunate enough to attend and create many memories watching the action live at Jubilee Stadium, Kogarah.

That element of family, connection, memories and the Red V has been passed on, Dean and his family strive to attend every home game at WIN Stadium and when scheduling works, attends home games at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.

Dean’s fondest memories were the legendary 1999 and 2010 Grand Finals, both games displaying incredible determination, pride, and excitement. As much as he loved the Grand Finals, Dean also holds a special place in his heart for the Anzac Day games. The atmosphere during these matches is like any other, honouring the spirit of unity and remembrance.

Whether the Dragons triumphed or faced the bitterness of defeat, Dean and his family continue to display their unwavering loyalty.

"I love to watch football, win or lose and watching it live is special. The atmosphere is exciting, especially during a win," he said.

Among the many players who have worn the Dragons' jersey, Dean had a personal list of favourites; Nathan Brown, Nathan Blacklock, Trent Barrett, and Mikaele Ravalawa.

We thank you Dean for your continual dedication and passion for the Dragons!

We have awarded him the Red V Member of the Match during our Round 21 home game at WIN Stadium, Wollongong on Friday 21st July vs Wests Tigers.
