St George Illawarra Dragons centre Tim Lafai believes the team can turn their attacking woes around ahead of facing the Gold Coast Titans at Cbus Super Stadium, Robina on Saturday.
The Red-and-Whites have presently scored only six tries from as many outing this campaign and have lost their previous two matches, both of which coming against last season’s Grand Finalists (North Queensland Cowboys and Brisbane Broncos).

Despite this statistic, Lafai believes that the team are moving in the right direction and that they have only succumbed to their present situation as a result of poor discipline with the ball.
“Our execution of plays and other simple stuff has let us down and we need to get that right if we’re any chance of scoring tries,” said Lafai.
“Our completions have not been great these past two games nor the errors and penalties we’ve given away so that also needs to be fixed.
“The effort however has always been there amongst the boys and we were all trying hard out there with our attack.
“We know that it is down to us to fix.
“We’ve been disappointed with both loses and not being able to score points against two top teams.
“We’re going in the right direction with our attack and the plays are there, it’s just the simple things like catches and passes letting us down.
“It can be frustrating trying so hard to get those plays away and being let down by errors but the effort is there and everything else can be turned around.”
