The St George Illawarra Dragons Community department, in conjunction with the NRL Development team hosted the Country Cup & Shaun Timmins Shield finals at Bomaderry Sporting Complex last Tuesday.

The Cup was split into three competitive divisions - U13, U15, and Opens, with 12 schools from Eurobodalla, Shoalhaven, the far South Coast, and Northern and Southern Illawarra all competing for a spot in the NSW Regional semi finals.

Illawarra Sports High School were the victors in the U13s category, taking out the Shaun Timmins Shield, against Kiama High School.

Kiama High School will be progressing to the semi finals in lieu of Illawarra Sports, who are unfortunately ineligible to progress due to being a sports school.

Albion Park High School won the Captains Shield in the U15s category, while Holy Spirit Catholic College, Bellambi took out the title in the Opens division.

The aforementioned teams will now advance to the NSW Regional semi finals to be held in Cootamundra, early in Term Three.
