The St George Illawarra Dragons will be holding their annual School Blitz as part of the annual NRL Community Carnival from Monday, February 9 - Friday, February 27.

The program, created by the NRL with a view to making a positive difference in the community, will be delivered to as many as 30,000 students over the three week period.

The Dragons will be visiting almost 100 schools from Narooma to Arncliffe promoting important social messages.

The Carnival’s theme this year is ‘Healthy Lifestyles & Wellbeing’, focussing on healthy eating habits and nutrition, regular physical activity, appropriate levels of sleep and mental health.

Dragons players and staff, along with NRL Ambassadors, will speak to students with the aim of encouraging them to build healthy lifestyles and make positive choices.

Students will be provided with access to an online ‘Eat Well, Play Well, Stay Well’ game and a complimentary teacher resource.

Keep an eye out on our social media channels for locations we will be visiting over the next three weeks to see if we will be at a school near you!

The Dragons also proudly launched their very own school diary ‘The Best You Can Be’ encouraging youth to make positive choices around health, education and social issues recently.

The Dragons school diary ‘The Best You Can Be’! retails for $6.00 and can be purchased either via the Dragons Team Store (Phone: 02 9597 1966) or through R.I.C. Publications Online Store!
