St George Illawarra winger Eto Nabuli confesses the guidance undertaken by Head Coach Paul McGregor is exactly what he needs during his transition into the Club.

Nabuli, who joined the Red-and-Whites from the Penrith Panthers on a one-year contract, believes learning under McGregor will help him reach his potential in a sport that is somewhat new to him.

The Fijian international is enjoying his code switch and while he admits the pre-season is tough knows it is worth it if he can represent the Dragons.

“I grew up playing rugby union and did not play rugby leagye until I came to Australia two years ago,” said Nabuli.

“Mary helps a lot and he takes the time to point out to me what to do and how to do it, he is a good coach.

“He is always teaching me new things to build my skills.

“My goal is to play NRL next year and listen to what Mary tells me and train hard to focus on my skills.

“I am enjoying myself playing rugby league but pre-season is tough.

“I am looking forward to playing with many of my new teammates like Trent Merrin, Josh Dugan and Joel Thompson.

“I’m enjoying being here at the Dragons.”
