St George Illawarra Dragons centre Dylan Farrell recently attended the Jervis Bay PS ANZAC Day service honouring the nation’s servicemen and servicewomen.
The focus of ANZAC Day services across Australia this year will be recognising the contribution of Indigenous service people involved in every conflict and peace keeping mission in which Australia has participated in since the start of last century – from the Boer War to East Timor and Afghanistan.
A number of current and past Indigenous service people participated in the service, which was led by students from Jervis Bay PS, which also recognised the school’s strong traditional ties and partnership with Defence.
The service also featured a full Navy Catafalque Party with Commander Van Stralen, Executive Officer, HMAS CRESWELL delivering this year’s address.
“It was an honour and privilege to be part of the Jervis Bay PS service alongside many family members who have ties to Australia’s brave servicemen and women,” said Farrell.
