St George Illawarra Dragons utility Atelea Vea joined the Red V from the Melbourne Storm ahead of the 2012 season.
The Hurstville United junior made his debut for the Dragons in round 10 of last season’s campaign against the Penrith Panthers and made two first-grade appearances in total.
Vea also made 15 reserve-grade appearances for the Illawarra Cutters in the NSW Cup.
The Tonga international, who can play as prop or second-row, began his career with the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in 2009 before relocating the following year to Australia’s second-city where he spent two seasons plying his trade with the Storm.
He has made 21 first-grade NRL appearances as of the end of the 2012 season.
