Dragons finalise NRLW Round 5 team list

St George Illawarra Dragons NRLW head coach Jamie Soward has finalised his 17 to face the Wests Tigers at CommBank Stadium, Parramatta in Round 5.

Final team: There is one switch on game day with Sarah Riordan moving into the starting side at prop and Angelina Teakaraanga-Katoa reverting to the interchange.

Earlier in the week an injury to Sara Sautia (ankle) meant Ella Koster moved into her starting edge forward position and Macie Carlile took the vacant bench spot to make her NRLW debut. Renee Targett will be the replacement player.

Cheynoah Amone will make her NRLW debut off the bench after linking up with the club over the offseason.

A versatile back rower and outside back, Amone put together an impressive Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership campaign with the Bulldogs this past season and earns an opportunity to test herself on the NRLW stage.

Additionally, Sophie Clancy returns from a head knock to start at hooker.

Tara McGrath-West returns to the front row with Alexis Tauaneai shifting back to lock.
