St George Illawarra lock Jack de Belin has been found guilty at the judiciary on Tuesday night and will miss the Dragons' Round 16 clash against the Newcastle Knights at UOW Jubilee Oval, Kogarah on Sunday.

De Belin was cited for a grade one dangerous contact - head/neck on Eels forward Kenny Edwards in the Dragons' loss over the weekend.

Regardless of whether he fought the charge or took the early guilty plea, De Belin's maximum punishment was always going to be a one-game suspension.

As a result, de Belin will be free to play in the Dragons' Round 17 clash against the Gold Coast Titans.
