The St George Illawarra Dragons will proudly play host to the 2016 Sam Bremner (nee Hammond) Shield this week.

The Dragons, in conjunction with NRL Development, will supervise 20 sides taking part in Primary School (years 5 & 60, Junior (years 7 & 8), Intermediate (years 9 &10) and Senior (years 11 &12) divisions, with many girls now taking part in their third and fourth years of the carnival in what is always a great day of Rugby League.

As well as the league action both Headspace Wollongong and the Australian Defence Force will be on hand to provide information and discussing Mental Health, Goal Setting and Careers.

Other events this week will also see the inaugural Eastern Catholic Primary Schools NRL Touch interschool sport program at Scarborough Park as well as a Dream Believe Achieve presentation at Waniora Road School.
