St George Illawarra Dragons prop Mose Masoe admits he is counting down the days until he is given the medical green light and make his first-grade debut for the Club.

The Toa Samoa international unfortunately suffered a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) in his right knee during the pre-season which required him to undergo immediate surgery.

Masoe has since undertaken an extensive rehabilitation program and has reached the midway point of the process.

“I would like to come back before the end of the season finishes but that depends on my rehabilitation and pretty much if the doctors can say that I can play,” said Masoe.

“Mentally at this time it is quite hard as you’re out of the team but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

“I’m three months in to my recovery and hopefully there’s only three more months to go so I can’t wait to get back out on to the field and finally represent the Dragons.”
