St George Illawarra Dragons second-rower Joel Thompson was successful in contesting the grading of his Grade 2 “High Tackle - Careless” charge at the NRL Match Review Committee on Wednesday.
The NSW Country Origin representative had the charge down-graded to a Grade 1 “High Tackle - Careless” and will miss one match.
Thompson committed the incident during the 17th minute of the 20-18 win over the Sydney Roosters at Allianz Stadium, Moore Park on Monday.
