St George Illawarra Dragons halfback Benji Marshall is keen to return to the playing field as he nears the completion of his recovery from injury.
Marshall, 30, was forced to undergo ankly surgery during the off-season and has since been under a rehabilitation program and forced to watch on as his teammates train this pre-season.
However, the worst is now behind him and he is keen to link-up with the playing group and commence his preparation for the 2016 campaign.
