The St George Illawarra Dragons, in conjunction with the NRL, ran a rugby league development day with 150 students from Christian Brothers, Lewisham recently.

Students from Years 5 and 6 rotated around six stations, five physical activities with each group engaged in a range of rugby league skills and games.

Dragons Community Officer and NRL ‘State of Mind’ Ambassador Dan Hunt, ran the sixth station which was regarded as the most important activity.

Content was around physical and mental wellbeing with the tips and information Dan shared keeping the children engaged and informed with students taking away some very important knowledge and strategies.

The day was a huge success and we look forward in conducting more programs, spreading the word amongst our youth about the importance of a healthy and happy lifestyle.
