St George Illawarra Dragons National Youth Competition team halfback Jack Payne firmly believes every game counts ahead of the fixture against the Gold Coast Titans at Cbus Super Stadium, Robina on Sunday.

The Young Dragons ran out 28-16 winners over the competition leading Penrith Panthers last round which Payne believes is a reflection of his team's effort on the field.

The Macaurthur Saints junior has called upon his teammates to replicate this effort once more when they travel across the stateline to face the Titans.

"The team defended really well against the Panthers and the result reflected the effort that we all put in," said Payne.

"We know that every game is important and it showed with how we played against the competition leaders and we will be doing the same against the Titans.

"We've been training really hard to fix all the small errors that have caused problems for us this season and we hope to finish the season on the right note which starts against the Titans."
