The St George Illawarra Dragons duo Dylan Farrell and Dan Hunt helped promoted the benefits of reading by attending National Simultaneous Storytime at Wollongong Central Library on Wednesday.

The Dragons duo, in which Farrell himself is the Club’s Reading Capatin, was joined by National Youth Competition team prop Blake Lawrie, Lord Mayor of Wollongong, Councillor Gordon Bradbery OAM, in reading picture books to kindergarten children from Wollongong Public School.

The annual event involved The Brothers Quibble being read to children in libraries and schools at the same time all over Australia.

The occasion encourages reading amongst young people and inspiring a love of reading at an early age, while helping to foster relationships within the local community.
