The Illawarra Cutters hit the road to face rivals the Newtown Jets at Henson Park, Marrickville on Saturday.

Coming off back-to-back victories before the break for the representative games, the team and Head Coach Scott Logan will be looking to continue that good recent run of form.

The Jets have had a similar season to the Cutters, being up and down.

Sitting in seventh position with four wins and four losses, a victory for the Cutters will see them leapfrog their opponents.

With the Jets being the feeder side for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks this season, having moved from the Sydney Roosters who now align with the Wyong Roos, they have named a strong side.

Experienced first-grade players including Nathan Gardner, Mitch Brown and Blake Ashyford form a formidable backline.

The Cutters have also named a strong side that includes Justin Hunt, Charly Runciman and recent Junior Kangaroos representative Drew Hutchison.

Additionally, NSW Cup Representative prop Rory O'Brien has been named in a forward -pack also featuring Shannon Wakeman and Sam Coster.
