St George Illawarra Dragons utility Josh Dugan is excited to have helped unveil the Club’s NRL Auckland Nines jersey at the tournament’s official launch in Sydney on Thursday.

The NSW Origin representative was joined by representatives from all 16 NRL clubs to show-off their unique livery which will feature in the two-day nine-a-side competition.

The Dragons will compete within the Rangitoto pool against the Parramatta Eels, Newcastle Knights and Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles.

“I loved the experience in last year’s Nines and I’m looking forward to being a part of the shorter format again,” said Dugan.

“Everyone who was involved enjoyed being a part of the concept and it will be a great way to kick the year off.

“It is a faster-style of game due to having less players on the field which will benefit the strengths of a lot of our players including myself.

“No decision has been made yet on who will be selected but I will be the first to put my hand-up when Paul McGregor does decide.”
