St George Illawarra Dragons National Youth Competition team second-rower Wes Lolo is confident the young Dragons will come out firing for the match against the New Zealand Warriors at WIN Jubilee Oval, Kogarah on Saturday.

The enforcer knows the young team have a lot to improve on leading into the first game back at Kogarah this Easter Saturday.

"I think the boys have been doing really well in recent weeks, but it was clear on Monday we were lacking," Lolo said.

"It's just disappointing about the game on Monday night. The Storm really came out firing and we struggled to get off the blocks from the start.

"We were lacking on our D and it is clear when they took the lead we were rushed in our sets.

"It's a good lesson and something we will work on at training to maintain our ball control and complete our sets.

"We just have to work together and stick to our game plans and structures.

"I'm really looking forward to getting back to Kogarah this week. The Warriors are a good team with a lot of go-forward in their middle pack but I think we can come out firing and match them."
