St George Illawarra Dragons prop Kem Seru has a need for speed and is addressing it courtesy of an impressive pre-season plan.
The Fiji international has made a conscious effort to improve his overall diet and cardio these past few months, undertaking a daily routine of fitness sessions and eating healthily to do just that.
The Hurstville United, part of the Dragons National Youth Competition team, is hoping his experiences training alongside the first-grade squad will help the Young Dragons in their campaign for top honours in 2013.
“It’s taken a while to get used to going to bed and waking up early, eating the right foods and keeping the body fit but I’m getting there,” said Seru.
“These changes will be for the best which is why I do it.
“I feel that I’m moving a lot faster than I was before which is good for a guy like me.
“I’ve been working on my cardio and getting the blood pumping to help me through the day.
“I want to have a good season with the NYC boys and hopefully we can go all the way this time around.”
