St George Illawarra Dragons second-rower Bronson Harrison has put his name into the hat for a spot in the second-row in 2013.
The New Zealand international, who joined the Red-and-Whites during the off-season, is intent on cementing a starting spot in the back-row but knows he faces healthy competition within the squad.

Harrison admits his body is feeling the positive benefits of an off-season undisturbed by injury or international duty and hopes it will put him in contention for his overall goal this season.
“There’s a spot in the back-row that a lot of people will be fighting for but I want to make it my own,” said Harrison.
“I still have a lot of work to do but the coaching and training staff have been great.
“I’ve usually come off the backend of an international or injury so feeling this refreshed is refreshing.
“All the boys came back in good weight and their skinfolds dropped so a lot of the boys were surprised and happy.
“We’ve gone through some of the results from the backend of last year and seen what needs to be done.
“The trainers are happy with our progress which means the players are too.
“I’m not too sure what last year’s focuses were but we’ll be pushing for a semi-final spot and making sure we get the best out of each other – these are important things.”
