The St George Illawarra Dragons have kicked off their week in Cairns with a full training session and visits to over 20 schools in the Cairns community spreading the message on tackling bullying.
Matt Cooper and Brett Morris met students at Aloomba State School and St Michael's School, while the rest of the 25-man squad split into groups to head all over the local community to talk to local kids about how to tackle bullying.
The Dragons squad in Cairns are currently in the midst of their pre-season camp ahead of their opening trial fixture against the North Queensland Cowboys at Barlow Park, Cairns on Saturday, and will also host an open training session for Red V Members on Friday.
The important message about bullying is a focus in the 2013 Community Carnival, with Dragons players Michael Weyman, Evander Cummins and Leeson Ah Mau also visiting ten schools in the Illawarra back home in New South Wales on Tuesday.
