The St George Illawarra Dragons played host to representatives from the Illawarra & South Coast regions who will take part in the All Stars Indigenous Youth Summit at the University of Wollongong on Tuesday.
The Dragons, in association with the University of Wollongong, the DEC, AIME and the Illawarra Aboriginal Corporation were on hand to welcome and support the nine representatives from the region ahead of their departure to Brisbane.
The group will travel north of the state line for mentoring and life skills workshops with both the Indigenous All-Stars and NRL All-Stars team members.
“This opportunity for the group is a once in a lifetime and they should all be proud that they are selecting their respective regions,” said Dragons Community Manager Paul Everill.
“All the students were very excited by the prospect of meeting some of their sporting heroes this week as well as meeting other students from other areas of the country.”
