St George Illawarra Dragons utility Bronx Goodwin and Ambassador Dean Young both provided leadership mentoring at Nazareth Catholic School, Shellharbour on Friday.
The Dragons representatives, accompanied by Dragons Community staff, met with 35 students involved in the Catholic Schools Leadership Day.
Both Goodwin and Young provided examples of times they have overcome adversity on and off the field as well as details on what it takes to be a leader.
“The students were receptive to what we had to teach them, especially with Dean, given his standing at the Club in recent years,” said Goodwin.
“It’s always humbling being able to help out kids with things like this as charity work is an important aspect in my life.
“Players are role models to many people both on and off the field so it special to pass on advice to the potential leaders of tomorrow.”
