St George Illawarra Dragons winger Brett Morris is expected to be sidelined for at least two weeks as he recovers from knee surgery.
The Kiama Knights junior underwent arthroscopic surgery to remove torn cartilage from his knee on Wednesday.
The Australia international was forced to leave the field because of the ailment in the 14th minute of the fixture against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles last round.
“Brett has had arthroscopic surgery on his knee to remove torn cartilage,” said Dragons High Performance Director Andrew Gray.
“We expect his rehabilitation time frame to be between two to four weeks dependent on how he recovers from surgery.”
Dragons Head Coach Steve Price has yet to name a replacement winger for the clash against the Gold Coast Titans at Skilled Park, Gold Coast on Sunday.
