Dragons Community values the importance of education, forming a strong relationship with the Department of Education and Training (DET) and local schools in our region, spanning from Kogarah in the north to Batemans Bay in the south.

Teacher's Aides
As part of our Toyota Cup Education and Welfare program and in conjunction with the Department of Education and Training (DET), the Dragons currently have a number of NYC players actively employed in local schools. These players are currently working as teachers aides, assisting students in various educational pursuits as well as endeavouring to be positive male role models within the school environment.
Learning with League
For the first time Dragons Community have developed “Dragons” themed ‘Learning with League’ supplementary activities to localise content and nurture up and coming Dragons supporters in our local schools.

Rugby League Reads
In conjunction with Rugby League’s One Community, Dragons Community will be conducting regular rugby league reads sessions at local schools utilizing One Community’s Rugby League Readers (Years K-2) and Rugby League Reads Magazines (Years 3-6). Dragons Community will also be offering online literacy competitions throughout the year.
