It’s the photo that symbolises Rugby League’s bond with Sydney -- the NRL’s club captains standing together on Sydney Harbour as the countdown continues to the most exciting Telstra Premiership race in memory.
In a show of strength for the game in Sydney, the NRL’s club captains yesterday gathered at Sydney Harbour as part of the NRL’s 2010 Sydney marketing campaign before venturing to ANZ Stadium to be part of one of the biggest ever games of Harvey Norman Backyard League, joining 400 students from schools across the city.
Harvey Norman Backyard League is a modified version of the game that enables children of all sizes, abilities and genders to play together.
Yesterday's events mark just nine days before the start of the 2010 Telstra Premiership on March 12.
