Canberra Raiders centre Joel Monaghan has been included in the NSW Aussie Blues side for Origin II after Michael Jennings was today ruled out of the match with a calf injury.

NSW Medical staff made the decision in Thursday morning after the Panthers flyer failed to recover from the strain.

Several other Blues players remain under injury clouds and undertook only light training on Wednesday.

Jamie Lyon (ankle), Paul Gallon (shoulder), Robbie Farah (ribs) and Craig Wing (hamstring) are all fighting to be fit for game two.

Remaining reserves Josh Morris (Bulldogs) and Tom Learoyd-Lahrs (Raiders) will return to their clubs today in preparation for their respective Telstra Premiership matches.

An additional training session on the Central Coast was canceled due to inclement weather.
